“What is … ?” – A guarantee bank
Founders receive loans to finance investments and working capital from their house bank, i.e. the bank or savings bank where the business account was opened.
It is crucial for the house bank that the founders are able to fulfil their payment obligations at all times. For this reason, the banks require suitable collateral from the founders in order to cover any payment default.
Anyone who cannot provide this collateral must provide proof of a guarantee.
Founders can obtain a guarantee for the loan from two main sources:
- Guarantee from private individuals
- Guarantee from a guarantee bank
The financing options can be found on the financing portal of the guarantee banks.
