Wood processing, stone processing and the porcelain industry used to dominate – today, metal processing, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, technical ceramics and food production play a central role. These sectors provide the majority of industrial jobs and strengthen the district of Wunsiedel’s position as an important production location in Bavaria.
