The ideal transport for cycling and hiking tours in the region
The leisure and cycle buses in the district are part of an interconnected network of various routes in north-east Bavaria, which serve tourist highlights, cycle paths and hiking trails.
From Selb to Gefrees or Fleckl, from Marktredwitz to Kulmbach or from Weißenstadt to Bad Steben – the leisure and cycle buses cross district borders and connect the Fichtelgebirge with the “Frankenwald”, the “Oberpfälzer Wald” and “Fränkische Schweiz”. The buses also travel to “Sächsische Vogtland”. The leisure buses are therefore a great addition to the district’s existing bus routes.

When the district of Wunsiedel i. The actual fare for individual tickets can be determined in advance using the VGN’s connection information service. The TagesTicket Plus is particularly attractive, with which, for example, two adults and one child can travel for an entire weekend for a total of €15.10 to €23.90 (as of 02/2024, depending on the price level, including bicycle transport).
